We Got Styled is a community of many females. Many of whom share wellness tips, tricks, advice, mistakes, experience, stories, etc. So, a Botox post makes perfect sense.
Side note: I am not telling anyone to get Botox.
We Got Styled is a place of different opinions & it’s important to stay true to myself. With that said, I am so glad Botox is an option for skincare wrinkle prevention.
I started getting Botox in Los Angeles a few years ago. I was hesitant, mostly because of cost. The prevention thing is what interested me the most. They “sprinkled” Botox on my forehead and between the brows. Not many people even realized I had Botox but me >>> because it was subtle.
{In simple terms, Botox Sprinkles is the same Botox treatment that we know and love, but just done in smaller quantities.}
Before committing to an appointment, I tried many skincare products like Glyderm Hydrotone {still love this product!}. This was before paper masks were super popular. On that, this is my favorite hydration mask Franz Skincare USA. It is not the least expensive mask on the market, but if you try it you will see why!
My husband and I moved from CA and now spend time between NYC and TN because of job opportunities. So, I had to search for a new med spa. Where do I go to look for pictures and to read reviews? Instagram.
Let me rewind a bit, I made a mistake of going to various places in L.A. to get Botox. I didn’t have a consistent place that I trusted or really liked. Um, I do not recommend that. There are terrible injectors who don’t know what they are doing and many that don’t care about personal goals. If you find someone that listens to you, is gentle, educates you about the product, and offers suggestions >>> you might have found your spa.
Now that my husband and I have settled into routines, I finally had time to search for a new med spa. I found a Skin Bar where I feel at home so to speak. I can’t say enough about the VIP treatment that I receive at La Bella Skin Bar in Germantown, TN. Lesley Wingfield, the Nurse Practitioner at La Bella Skin Bar, is one of the nicest people on the planet. Not only does she spend time learning about my goals, but she also knows her stuff. This woman is on a constant quest to learn about innovative techniques and products. It’s been about a month since my Botox appointment with her and I love how she applied the product.
Since you probably know a bunch about Botox already, this is my most important point of the post. Skincare for me is about confidence. Looking and feeling good to me is about inner & outer beauty. I hope this posts helps you in a small way.
WHAT IS BOTOX:
Botulinum toxin type A, the popular neurotoxin that, when injected in the face, will reduce muscle movement & lessen the appearance of wrinkles.
COST:
For the area I chose, it was about $250. Prices vary on where you go and if you choose Botox or Dysport.
Notable Tips:
After Botox, it’s important to not exercise, bend over, or lie down. They say four hours.
It takes about two weeks to see the full results.
Supposedly, it lasts about three or four months. For me, it is visible about three.
Obviously avoid Botox if you’re pregnant. Please do your research.
xoxo,
